LSA MINI ROUND NIGHT 2 BUNBURY NOVEMBER 1st 2014

Well what a great night of racing! A beautiful night, not to cold but not to warm. Just right for the 12 cars that had  nominated  for racing

There were 3 heats and a feature for the drivers

 

The first round of heats saw Todd  Davis and Jason Craig off the front.  Todd took off on the green and took the lead and held on to win from Brayden Miller with Karl Magerl a close third

The next heat saw Kevin Grant off  pole with Shannon Binns beside him and after 10 laps we saw Shannon Binns win followed by Brayden Burgess second and third Kevin Grant

Next heat saw Brad Cox off  front with Brayden Miller beside him Brayden took off at the green light and led till the finish followed by Todd Davis and  Brad Cox third

This one saw Brayden  Burgess and Shannon Binns off  the front. Brayden managed to be in front into turn one with Shannon closely behind him to the finish. First Brayden second Shannon and Sam Miller third

This heat saw Karl Magerl and Jason Craig off the front. It was a great start but Karl took the lead for the 10 laps closely followed Brayden Miller and Todd Davis right on their tail

Last heat of the night saw Sam Miller and Brayden Burgess off the front but Brayden Burgess took control of the race to the finish with Shannon Binns second and followed by Sam Miller third

The feature saw Brayden Burgess and  Shannon Binns off  the front. It was being closely fought for the lead on the second lap going into turn 4, however, Todd made a move up high to go around and his car spun and hit the fence and damaged it and could not continue with the race.  The race was under caution, and at the restart Brad Cox made a bad move by passing a car before the whites hat. The race ran another 10 laps and we were under caution again.  Brad was moved back two positions for the bad move at the last restart. The final places went to Brayden Miller with Shannon Binns second and Karl Magerl third

That was not the final result for the feature. At the weigh in it was found that Shannon Binns car was under weight, and therefore the result changed, making Brayden Miller first with  Karl Magerl second and Jason Craig third.
All in all a great nights racing Hard luck went to Kelvin Lawrence from Collie who had oil pressure problems, A great night for Brayden Burgess in his first night's racing a limited and Sam Miller first meeting well done to all
look forward to the next meeting at Motorplex  November 22nd this is a club champion points meeting

NIGHT 1 Mini Series Bunbury Speedway 18.10.2014

Well for those who did not attend the race meeting at Bunbury missed a great night, the track was awesome the weather cold and windy with thunderstorms and heavy rain predicted the meeting went ahead luck was on our side we had 3 heats and a feature all without a drop of rain.

 

First heat saw Darryl Borgas off the front row with Shannon Binns beside him Shannon took off and was never headed onto win with Todd Davis coming of the back and  hunting Shannon down in second place with Daryl Borgas third. Great racing

Second heat saw David Toovey off the front with Karl Magerl, Karl lead for a while but Steven Kendall took the lead with the finishing places being Steven Kendall first Karl Magerl second and Merv Woolford third good racing.

 Third heat Shane Kendell and Kelvin Lawrence off the front and after the 10 lap event it saw Todd Davis first Shane Kendell second followed by Shannon Binns for third.

Next heat saw Steven Kendall and Merv Woolford of front row with Steven taking off with Merv closely following him but could not pass him photo finish as Merv tried to take the lead heading towards the chequered flag, Steven Kendall first Merv Woolford second with Karl Magerl third awesome race to watch.

 Second last heat saw Kelvin Lawrence and Kevin Grant off from the front Kevin took the lead for several laps but could not stop Todd Davis coming from the rear passing him leaving him to come in second with Shane Kendall third, great racing.

Last round of heats saw Brad Cox of the front with David Toovey  but Karl Magerl from the rear passed them all to come in first and Shayne Langdon second followed by Merv Woolford in third another great race to watch.

With large amounts of rain approaching on the radar it was estimated we had 25 minutes before the downpour the track was still good so it was decided not to have intermission and go straight into the feature races.

The feature race saw Todd Davis and Karl Magerl of the front and as the lights turned green Todd just took off to lead on the high line to the end with Karl following and with Merv Woolford trying high and low line to pass Karl but to no avail making Todd Davis first Karl Magerl second and Merv Woolford third.

 A great first night of the mini round Shane and Steven flew down from Broome to race Shayne Langdon travelled from Albany we had 15 cars which was a great effort
Brayden Burgess unfortunately didn't get a start to mechanical issue's hopefully you can come and see us racing next at Bunbury speedway Saturday November 1st we will be having presentations after the event in the pits so come and say gidday to our drivers and crews.

LSA 1st meeting motorplex 11.10.2014

Well the Limited Sprintcar season has started we had a great night at the Motorplex had 13 cars start the night and had 12 cars at the end of night with one accident to report all of our new drivers did remarkably well, the Mash team looked very impressive so were of to a great start to the season,

Race one was run and won by Brayden Miller our current state title holder, a great drive from start to finish second place went to Ben Migro with Kye Scroop third

 

 

 

 

 

Second race first went to Kye Scroop second place went to Brayden Miller and third place to Merv Woolford

 

 

Feature race saw Brayden Miller and Kye Scroop of the front but coming out of turn two Kye lost it and spun Ben Migro just caught Kye’s car and damaged his front end that finished his race at the restart saw Merv Woolford and Brayden Miller off the Front and Kye off the rear of the field it was a great race over 15 laps Brayden Miller winning and Kye Scoop coming in second with Justen Bell coming third
