MOORA SPEEDWAY SATURDAY MARCH 22nd 2014


Well another good nights racing at Moora on Saturday night only 9 Limited Sprintcars attending as 3 had to cancel due to work commitments,

Our line up was Mick Doble #40 and Anthony Gaudio #43 from Geraldton Benny Migro #79, Greg Clarke #6 and Brayden Miller #2 from Perth area Darryl Borgas #9 from Narrogin Ben #87 and Jim #24 Chisholm from Ongerup and Damien Joyce #12 from Moora.

 We turned on a great show for the spectators, The night was quite warm and the track was fast.

The first heat saw Darryl Borgas with Brayden Miller off the front at the start with Brayden taking the lead and was going as if he was on rails to finish first with Mick Doble following him home and Darryl Borgas third and Jim Chisholm forth.

Heat 1 Winner Brayden Miller
 Heat two saw Greg Clark and Anthony Gaudio off the front till the race was about to start and the two front cars tangled and Greg become stationary and had to go to the rear on the restart it put Anthony and Benny Migro off the front at the green Anthony and Benny took it side by side into the corners one and two but Anthony managed to get to the front and lead to the chequered flag with Damien Joyce second and Greg Clark came in third and Ben Chisholm forth on the seventh lap Ben had to pull off with a lost accelerator pin.

Heat 2 Winner Anthony Gaudio

Heat three Saw Brayden Miller and Ben Migro off the front it was a drag race into turn one but Ben Migro was now in front and was never headed to the finish with Brayden following him across   the line and Greg Clark third Jim Chisholm fourth.

Heat 3 Winner Benny Migro

Heat four saw Damien Joyce and Mick Doble on front row at the green Mick took the lead into turn one and was never headed with Damien coming second and Anthony Gaudio third Darryl Borgas fourth and Ben Chisholm fifth with no restarts.
Heat 4 Winner Mick Doble

Heat five Saw Darryl Borgas and Greg Clark off the front then after the green Mick Doble rounded the front runner on the outside in turn one and two to lead till the finish with Ben Migro coming second followed by Greg Clark third and Darryl Borgas forth.
Heat 5 Winner Mick Doble
Heat six saw Anthony Gaudio and Brayden Miller on front row good start lap 2 Brayden spun in bend 4, restart Damien spun in lap 4 and Brayden hit Damiens left front with his right rear, Damien out, restart and Anthony took the win followed by Brayden in second Jim third and Ben forth.

 Feature of 20 laps saw Mick Doble and Anthony Gaudio off the front the race was exciting with the passing moves by Mick ,Anthony, Bradyen and Benny. It looked like running the 20 laps without a stoppage but coming out of turn three going into four Braydens car went from the middle of the track to the wall quite hard damaging his front end and diff after clearing the track the last three laps were run with Mick Doble winning and Anthony Gaudio second and Ben Migro third Damien Joyce fourth Greg Clarke sixth Jim Chisholm seventh Ben Chisholm eighth and Darryl Borgas ninth.

After the event we had  a look at Brayden Millers car is was not looking good not only damage to diff and front end the chassis was damaged to with the steering box broken other than that it was a great night.

The Moora president spoke to Our LSA President (Martin) and stated he wants us back next year again so we will look forward to that.

 

For the people following the limited sprintcars we have another meeting coming up on the 12th April at Collie Speedway would be great to see you all there.
