Hi all,
Well we have returned from the Aussie title in Darwin, had to drink 20 beers a day to water the dust down in our throats, the track curators had a battle on their hands with the track but it was still well worth the effort to go.
The limited club would have had 15 drivers and another 30 club members up their, if we were not the biggest represented club I would be surprised.
We made up a banner for the club thanks to Bunnings, and hung it on the fence on turn 3, I will post some of the photos later this week and also get some video footage of the GREAT GO KART race put on our multi media site.
The banner brought a few people over for a chat and several showed interest in joining the club and buying a car.
As most of you would know the title was won by James McFadden, he put in a solid show all weekend and was there when it counted, Ryan Farrel would be thinking it was one that got away, but his time will come, he was the fastest consistently and after being put to the back of the field came back to 7th at the flag.
The Darwin bull ring was a great little track, just the dust issues to contend with, most of us drivers all thought we would love to have had a go up there.
They run a 350 division and I have tried to make contact with them previously, now I have been there I will give it another shot at trying to get in touch with them.
Well lots of unpacking and work to catch up with, the newsletter will be out soon with a questionnaire for drivers regarding next years fixtures, hope all you drivers take the time to fill it out and return it.
Does anyone know where Michael Armstrong's motor is going?
Does anyone have anything interesting going on in their sheds? send me an email with your updates so I can post the goss on here.
Catch you
Crabby
