MOTORPLEX DECEMBER 20th 2014

Well another great night at the Motorplex we had 14 cars attend this meeting and you could not take it away from Brayden Miller it  was his night in the end after 2 heats  and a feature  the results are

 

Heat 1 saw Shane Kendall and Tony Pracillio off the front Ben Migro came thru to take the lead for a few laps then the lead was taken over by Brayden Miller to the end but was relegated two places for jumping the start in midfield at the start making Ben Migro first Karl Mageri second and then Brayden Miller third

Heat two saw Greg Clarke and Marshall McDiarmid off front and Marshall lead into turn one and was never headed FINISHING FIRST AND Brayden Miller second after coming from near the rear of the field to take second and Merv Woolford third

The feature saw Merv Woolford and Brayden Miller of the front it was a good start but only lasted half a lap as Greg Clark and Karl Magerl got tangled up and became stationary had to start at the rear as they both had to be push started

The second restart was a drag down to turn one but Brayden was leading coming out of turn one to the end Merv was running second  but could not make ground on Brayden with Ben Migro running third but was passed in the closing laps by Peter Mc Namara and that’s how they finished Brayden Miller first Second Merv Woolford and Third Peter Mc Namara

The next meeting will be at the Motorplex called the Muster on the 3 Jan 2015 and I understand we have 18 cars that have nominated for this event always great night out so come along and say hi and cheers along your favourite drivers.

BUNBURY CAR CLUB EVENT DECEMBER 13th 2014

 

 

It was a great night of  racing started out with 13 and finished with 12 it was unfortunate for Graham Wilson at the hot laps he side swiped the fence in the back straight and when they checked the car in the  pits it was too badly damaged to continue on the night not a good start for his first night on the track hope to see him back out there soon, another hard luck story Shayne Langdon travelled from Albany and his vehicle broke down 20kms from the track and was unable to get to the track to race.

 

Now let’s get into the racing round 1 heat 1 saw Sam Miller and Robbie Klesura off the front but were passed by Tony Pricilio closely followed by Karl Magerl to the finish with Brad Cox third

This round saw Jason Craig and Shannon Binns off the front Jason managed to be in front at turn 1 and was not giving up the lead he drove an awesome race with Shannon trying to hunt him down for the lead Jason took his first win with  Shannon Binns second and Merv Woolford third

Next round saw Tony Pricilio and Anthony Die off the front after a false start and they all settled down on the next start Karl managed to hold on to letting the race  till the end Anthony Die second and Brad Cox third

Next round saw Sam Miller and Merv Woolford  off the front Merv took the lead right up to the last two laps and he made a mistake out of turn two and Karl  jumped under him to take the lead till the finish with Merv Woolford second and Jason Craig third

This round saw Keith Gorman and Kevin Grant off the front Kevin got a good start but could not hold onto it and Merv passed him till the finish and Kevin was second and Shannon Binns third

Last heat of the night saw  Perter Wotanowski off the front this one saw Anthony Die coming through to lead closely followed by Brad Cox and that’s how they remained till the finish with Perter Wotanowski third

The feature race saw Tony Pracillio and Merv Woolford of the front we had two stoppages for car spinning out and a great race won by Merv Woolford closely followed by Tony Pracillio and Anthony Die third

The next meeting at the Motorplex December 20th will be a great one as we have 16 cars nominated for this event.

Saturday November 22nd at Motorplex

Saturday 22^nd November was another night of racing for club champion points

at the Motorplex called the King Of Wings, sponsored by SCARDIFIELS Smash Repairs.

 

In total there were  27 Open Sprint Cars,  12 x 360’s, 13 Limited Sprintcars, and what a nights racing was had by all.

 Now to the Limited Sprintcar events

Race 1 saw Karl Magerl and Shane Gartrell off the front and what a race it turned out to be with the lead changing twice between  Karl and Ben Migro. Karl, however, had enough to take the lead to the end closely followed by Ben Migro and Brayden Miller

Second Heat saw Merv Woolford and Todd Davis off the front with Merv taking the lead and never being headed. He was closely followed by Todd Davis for second and Brayden Miller third again after coming from the rear

The feature race saw Todd Davis and Brayden Miller off the front.  Todd took the lead for quite a few laps until Merv managed to get under him to take the lead to the finish with Todd Davis second and Karl Magerl third. It was bad luck for Gavin Davis who had to pull out with one lap to go due to his motor getting too hot and Brayden Miller lost an engine at the start and was unable to continue.

LSA MINI ROUND NIGHT 2 BUNBURY NOVEMBER 1st 2014

Well what a great night of racing! A beautiful night, not to cold but not to warm. Just right for the 12 cars that had  nominated  for racing

There were 3 heats and a feature for the drivers

 

The first round of heats saw Todd  Davis and Jason Craig off the front.  Todd took off on the green and took the lead and held on to win from Brayden Miller with Karl Magerl a close third

The next heat saw Kevin Grant off  pole with Shannon Binns beside him and after 10 laps we saw Shannon Binns win followed by Brayden Burgess second and third Kevin Grant

Next heat saw Brad Cox off  front with Brayden Miller beside him Brayden took off at the green light and led till the finish followed by Todd Davis and  Brad Cox third

This one saw Brayden  Burgess and Shannon Binns off  the front. Brayden managed to be in front into turn one with Shannon closely behind him to the finish. First Brayden second Shannon and Sam Miller third

This heat saw Karl Magerl and Jason Craig off the front. It was a great start but Karl took the lead for the 10 laps closely followed Brayden Miller and Todd Davis right on their tail

Last heat of the night saw Sam Miller and Brayden Burgess off the front but Brayden Burgess took control of the race to the finish with Shannon Binns second and followed by Sam Miller third

The feature saw Brayden Burgess and  Shannon Binns off  the front. It was being closely fought for the lead on the second lap going into turn 4, however, Todd made a move up high to go around and his car spun and hit the fence and damaged it and could not continue with the race.  The race was under caution, and at the restart Brad Cox made a bad move by passing a car before the whites hat. The race ran another 10 laps and we were under caution again.  Brad was moved back two positions for the bad move at the last restart. The final places went to Brayden Miller with Shannon Binns second and Karl Magerl third

That was not the final result for the feature. At the weigh in it was found that Shannon Binns car was under weight, and therefore the result changed, making Brayden Miller first with  Karl Magerl second and Jason Craig third.
All in all a great nights racing Hard luck went to Kelvin Lawrence from Collie who had oil pressure problems, A great night for Brayden Burgess in his first night's racing a limited and Sam Miller first meeting well done to all
