Hi all,
Well Bunbury was not rained out there were only a few showers.
The Limited Club had 7 cars present, not bad considering the big event at Pithara.
We ran three heats and the feature although the feature was shortened due to a previous rain shower making the track slippery.
On hand to race were Todd "The Tearaway" Davis, Gavin "Mr Money Meet Winner" Davis, Aldo "The Apprentice" DeApaoli, Ron "The Drag Racer" Wilson, Jason "Steel Chassis" Craig, Chris "I am only allowed to race 4 meets don't tell my wife this is number 12" Dicker and Steve "Butter wouldnt melt in my mouth" Crabbe.
Heats were a mish mash of positions with Lillian challenging us by moving each of us around to keep the pressure on to pass.
So from my poor memory here is what I think happened.
Heat 1 was won by the fabulous driver of car 77 who pulled the the first of the two best starts of the night, and he is modest as well, off the start from 4 diving between the front row cars and dragging "The Drag Racer" down the back straight getting into three first and pulled away, what a great start to the night.
Heat two was won by Chris Dicker, it was a slick track and the tractor motor loved it, the pace was not slow either, there were 4 of us going hell for leather but the tractor was not letting anyone by.
Heat 3 was another big event, Todd cleaned it up after The Drag Racer had it sewn up only to spin, the ensuing restart saw Gavin try a big move under Todd going into one, he just couldn't make it stick though, Aldo was unlucky, twice he got past me only to have the ambers come on and relegate him back.
So into the feature we went, Jason Craig off pole, Chris Dicker off two, Ron Wilson off three, Steve Crabbe off four, Aldo off five and Todd off six.
I knew Todd and Aldo would be coming quick so it was a close the eyes and go around the outside start, coming off 4 the green lights came on, plan A went into effect foot down and up high I went and when I opened my eyes we were leading going into turn one, not sure who was next but I would guess Todd came with me, we were going quite hard and I was just really starting to get harder on the gas when a minor mishap saw my left front wheel go past me, with plenty of suction on the seat we steered the 77 machine onto the infield to watch the rest of the feature, Todd drove a faultless race from there with Aldo steering his machine into second, Chris Dicker ran third in what was his best drive to date, Ron and Jason finished in that order.
So folks that was the night that was, a great night finished with some great prizes some cold beers and a great bbq on team Davis.
Special thanks to Mandurah Bolt Supplies, for all the great prizes and Martin for organising the event.
Remember the AGM is coming up, keep your ears tuned for the date.

Saturday at the races supporting the monster trucks.
Hi all,
Apparently while I was away some of the club members turned up to support the Monster Truck show.
There was Todd Davis, Aldo De Apaoli, Chris Dicker, Shane Maskel, Ron Wilson and Michael Andrews.
Not entirley sure of the results but Shane Maskel had a huge hit on the wall and destroyed his car totally.
Gavin tells me Chris Dicker put in a great drive and Ron Wilson in the new car was a drag racer on the straights, wheels standing high and covering the straights in no time at all.
I must say this years new drivers are standout performers, they are quick and straight.
Not sure of the current points but I would say for the second year in a row a rookie will take out club champion, hard to see anyone hauling Aldo in from here.
This Saturday sees the last club run for the season, such a pity it clashes with the Watsons all in Sprintcar Express, I for one think the Watsons Sprintcar Express meeting could become WA's best sprintcar meeting if it continues to grow, Arguably the Boys Race is the best, but for fun you just have to be at Pithara this weekend.

Geraldton weekend
Hi all,
Long time no blog, but we are coming back.
Well off to Gero we went on a raid to plunder the prizes donated by Super Cheap, we were intent on liberating the bounty for the Southeners.
Led by Mr I always win in Gero and supported by Aldo De Apaoli, Steve Crabbe, Glen Oliver and Ron Wilson.
Time trials were run and us Southeners were looking the goods, Aldo first and Gavin second.
My time came and with much embarrasment I went around at just above idle, my outside front axle held together with 3 turns of 8mm rope, we got a time though so we did not have to run from the rear.
Gavin ran into trouble in heat 1 running into a spun car dropping his driveline out, he missed his heat 2 as well.
Aldo was moving forward each heat but in heat 4 night one he had a mishap with Cale Sotiroff and Ron Wilson, photos of the final resting place of the cars are on the ltd face book page.
Glen's night was over early as well, tagging a spun car and bending the axle on the 45 car.
My night was somewhat better with 3 heat wins and a second, Andrew Pedlar passing me on the 3rd lap after the restart, during the 20 minutes it took to get Cales car off the bank I was hypnotised by water dripping from my wing, I missed all my marks for the rest of that heat.
Going into night 2 Nathan Chant was leading on 116 points and doing all he needed to take pole.
My night 2 was better than night 1 with 2 easy heat wins, the car was on rails, Ed and Mick had done an excellent job and I was not letting the team down.
After each heat I watched the next heat run, I could not believe the speed of our division, racing was intense and faster than I had seen at Geraldton before, it was a credit to all the Ltd drivers and each one should stand proud of the show they put on.
The Geraldton Club also should be proud of the meeting they organised, the only complaint being there was no Corona in the bar.
Now a certain gentleman and I have crossed swords with on the electronic media many times a couple of years ago, but he should be praised for the track preparation, it was a great track to race on, so thanks, OTL/Skeeta/Peter McNamara or any other alias you travel under, we all the drivers thank you for the work you did.
So to the feature we had Nathan off pole and myself outside, first start Martin said I jumped and pulled us up, second start we were off and around the outside I went only to have Nathan drive back under coming off 2, I chased hard for several laps before drifting up in 3 and 4 and seeing Cale and Andrew Pedlar come by, 2 laps later and under the pair I went, only to have the front brake caliper jam and bend the disc in a spectacular explosion of steel bits, this turned me hard left and the right rear tagged the wall, this filled the rim with mud and a vibration had me thinking we had torn the drive out so I rolled infield to watch the race.
Again it was stunning to watch the speed of the cars, Nathan drove a mistake free race and had a well deserved win ahead of Cale and Mick McGuiness and Andrew Pedlar, Aldo was 8th and Gavin 9th.
So the Northerners got to keep the booty, and us Southeners came away with the minors, but even the minors were great prizes.
